Tara has always had an interest in human health and enhancement and graduated in 1994 from the University of Guelph, receiving her Bachelor of Science (honours), with a Specialized Honours in Human Biology, a minor in Child Studies and a second minor in Nutrition.
In 1996, Tara was accepted into the naturopathic program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. In addition to the typical courses offered in medical school, she also learned the natural therapies such as Chinese medicine and acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, nutritional supplementation, homeopathy, chiropractic, and counselling. In the year 2000, she became a member of the largest graduating class ever recorded at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Having passed all the Board exams, she moved to St. Catharines in September of 2000 and set up her naturopathic practice.
She has been a regular columnist for the local publication The Natural Healer, writing articles on all aspects of health. She has also been a guest speaker on Niagara’s local Cogeco channel, talking about nutrition for the family and detoxification. Doing regular speaking engagements in the community got her noticed by a member of the Continuing Education Program at Brock, and she now offers two courses each term for the program. Her passion for teaching and sharing her vision are reflected in the courses, and graduates of her courses are always eager for the next one.
Tara now offers on-line courses and programs at www.drtaraclapp.com for those individuals that are eager to take their health to the next level. The courses are formatted in easy-to-follow modules that can be done at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home! Course programs available include:
